DNV-GL Accreditation
Jeff Davis Hospital is proudly accredited by DNV-GL (Det Norske Veritas). What does it mean to be accredited by DNV? Accreditation is a self-assessment and external peer assessment process used by health care organizations to accurately assess their level of performance in relation to established standards and to implement ways to continuously improve. DNV has been granted authority by CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) to accredit critical access hospitals. DNV's accreditation program for critical access hospitals employs the proven NIAHO standards and a highly collaborative survey process. DNV-GL focuses on quality and patient safety through a more efficient and outcomes-based accreditation program. Surveys are conducted annually, and procedures are tied to the specific CMS Conditions of Participation for critical access hospitals. Click here to view the official DNV-GL website:
