Services offered at the Intensive Outpatient Center:

• Confidential treatment
• Group, individual, and family therapy as well as medication management for behavioral health diagnosis
• A noon meal during the day
• Coordinating the patient’s care with individual’s primary care physician
• 6-12 week program (2-4 days per week)

Your treatment team

Your treatment team is multi-disciplinary in design to ensure the best quality pateitn care possible for those who trust us with their behavioural health needs. Along with patient family members, and the family doctor, the team includes:
• Medical director
• Nurse
• Clerk
• Program Director
• Primary Therapist

Understanding Anxiety-

Signs and Symptoms
• Excessive anxiety and worry occurring in several areas of life such as work and home
• The person finds it difficult to control the worry
• The anxiety and worry are associated with 3 (or more) of the following 6 symptoms
1. Restlessness or feeling keyed up or on edge
2. Being easily fatigued
3. Difficulty concentrating or mind going blank
4. Irritability
5. Muscle tension
6. Sleep disturbance (difficulty falling or staying asleep, or restless unsatisfying sleep)
• The anxiety or worry causes distress or impairment in social, occupational, or other important areas of functioning.

Understanding Depression-

Signs and Symptoms
• Lethargy” loss of energy and/or motivation
• Aches and pains with no physical cause
• Changes in sleep patterns: insomnia, hyper insomnia, sleeping during the day and up during the night
• A depressed or empty mood
• A loss of pleasure in activities
• A substantial unplanned weight loss or gain
• Restlessness, irritability
• Feelings of helplessness or hopelessness
• Excessive or inappropriate guilt
• Difficulty in thinking clearly
• Recurrent thoughts of death or suicide

Persons who exhibit some, or all of the above, may be suffering from Major Depression.
